Corsica Sole, Enapter and HENSOLDT Nexeya France announce a unique partnership in Corsica to convert surplus solar energy into hydrogen
Corsica Sole, an independent solar energy producer and one of Europe’s leading energy storage companies, announces the signing of a strategic partnership with Enapter, a German manufacturer of electrolysers, and HENSOLDT Nexeya France, the French subsidiary of the international HENSOLDT group, which specialises in the integration of complex energy systems.
The aim of this project is to make part of the surplus renewable energy produced by the Folelli solar power plant available to Corsica in the form of hydrogen when it is not being used, making this project a first in France.
Preparation of the Folell’Hy site will begin at the end of 2024, with commissioning announced for the first half of 2025.
