CSR commitment

Corsica Sole places social and environmental challenges at the heart of its strategy. Our CSR approach is reflected both in our internal practices and in the way our projects are designed, and is translated into concrete, ambitious actions aimed at strengthening our positive impact. Convinced that the energy transition cannot succeed without cooperation, we bring together all stakeholders in the value chain around a shared objective: to deliver low-carbon, responsible and accessible energy for all.

A mission embedded at the core of our energy model

Since its creation, Corsica Sole has made ecological transition and the fight against climate change the foundation of its action. Our three core activities — photovoltaic power generation, battery energy storage and green hydrogen production — directly contribute to the decarbonisation of territories.

Our island roots have enabled us to develop unique expertise in non-interconnected areas (NIAs), which remain heavily dependent on fossil fuels. This in-depth understanding of constrained environments is a powerful lever for accelerating decarbonisation and strengthening energy independence.

As part of a continuous improvement approach, we measure the carbon footprint of our activities each year and implement an action plan to continually enhance the environmental performance of our energy solutions.

Projects designed to protect the environment

Our CSR approach is directly reflected in the way our projects are designed. Corsica Sole prioritises the use of degraded land for the installation of its photovoltaic power plants, in order to limit soil artificialisation and preserve ecosystems.

Where residual impacts remain, appropriate measures are implemented to:

  • avoid disturbance to species,
  • reduce the footprint of installations,
  • compensate by recreating natural habitats where necessary.

Energy in the service of local territories

Our projects are developed in close consultation with local residents, local authorities, farmers and associations, ensuring strong local roots and seamless integration into their surroundings.

They generate tangible benefits, including:

  • local employment,
  • local partnerships,
  • support for economic development,
  • participatory financing, enabling residents to become active contributors to the energy transition.

A responsible value chain

Environmental and social considerations also shape our procurement policy. We have a responsible purchasing charter and integrate stringent CSR criteria into the selection of our suppliers.

As a member of the ICS Initiative, Corsica Sole works alongside eight other renewable energy developers to ensure decent working conditions throughout supply chains, notably through regular social audits at production sites.

Internal initiatives that put people first

Quality of life at work, inclusion and employer attractiveness are central pillars of our internal CSR commitment. We strive to provide a healthy, inclusive and fulfilling working environment. In 2024, these efforts were recognised with a score of 90/100 on the Gender Equality Index (Egapro).

Corsica Sole supports the development of its employees through:

  • enhanced access to training,
  • clear career development pathways,
  • geographic mobility opportunities,
  • value-sharing schemes for all permanent employees after one year of service.
