HERTZ 1: Corsica Sole reaches a new milestone in Estonia
News
Corsica Sole is consolidating its presence in Eastern Europe with the HERTZ 1 project, a 100 MW / 200 MWh energy storage facility in Estonia, developed in partnership with Evecon.
Located in Estonia, this strategic project alone covers nearly a third of the Estonian frequency regulation market. It is therefore fully in line with our ambition to become a key player in energy stability in the Baltic countries.
We recently reached a decisive milestone: the 54 battery containers have been delivered and are currently being installed, paving the way for the site to be fully operational by the end of 2025.
Drawing on our recognised expertise in energy storage, we are deploying cutting-edge technical solutions at Corsica Sole. To do so, we are relying on:
NIDEC for batteries, medium/low voltage transformers and secondary substations,
Connecto for the high voltage substation.
These projects embody our vision: to make storage a pillar of energy sovereignty.
Our international development is based on a strong conviction: storage is now an essential pillar of energy sovereignty. By establishing a long-term presence in strategic regions such as the Baltic States and Eastern Europe, we are helping to secure networks while supporting the local energy transition. We have laid the foundations for solid European growth, driven by trusted partnerships and recognised expertise
