Commissioning of the Cirey-sur-Vezouze solar power plant
An industrial wasteland transformed into a source of sustainable energy
We are delighted to announce the official commissioning of the Cirey-sur-Vezouze solar power plant, a project that perfectly illustrates Corsica Sole’s commitment to repurposing abandoned land for the energy transition.
Located on a 4.2-hectare former industrial wasteland, the plant marks a new stage in our efforts to combine land rehabilitation with green electricity production.

From the initial earthworks to the commissioning of the photovoltaic panels, relive the key stages of the project in our exclusive time-lapse video:
Some key figures to remember:
- 5.4 MWp of installed capacity,
- 6.1 GWh of electricity produced each year, equivalent to the consumption of 3,500 inhabitants, including heating,
- 1,900 tonnes of CO₂ avoided each year.
A collective achievement for the future
This project would not have been possible without the involvement of all the partners, local authorities and technical teams involved. Their work has resulted in a high-performance facility, designed to blend in with its environment in the long term.
The Cirey plant is part of our ambition to build an energy future based on local, sustainable and resilient solutions.
It is also a fine example of successful conversion: transforming a brownfield site into a concrete lever for renewable energy production.
