Job description

Reporting to the Director of Operations Engineering, you will act as High-Voltage Grid Connection Engineer, with responsibility for all high-voltage (HV) connection matters.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical support to the Development teams for applications related to HV grid connections;
  • Identifying and assessing the feasibility of connections to electricity networks, and optimising the technical and economic solutions proposed by network operators (costs, timelines, routing);
  • Acting as the main interface with network operators (distribution, transmission and telecommunications), ensuring proper preparation, negotiation and delivery of grid connections;
  • Defining technical solutions and managing electrical studies (protection, stability, system sizing);
  • Acting as the technical reference for the tendering and construction of internal HV substations within power plants (technical specifications, drawings, execution plans, site supervision and commissioning);
  • Working jointly with the control and automation team to propose appropriate solutions for HV system control and monitoring;
  • Taking into account the impacts of integrating energy storage systems on HV infrastructure (interlocking, protection coordination, etc.).

Profile sought

You hold an engineering degree or a Master’s degree (MSc, Bac +5), ideally specialising in electrical engineering or power engineering. You have at least 5 years’ experience in engineering, including a minimum of 3 years in high-voltage systems (MV/HV – HTA/HTB).

You are motivated by the renewable energy sector and are keen to play an active role in the energy transition.

You have strong expertise in:

  • The grid connection process for energy projects;
  • The functions and components of HV substations and the stages involved in their design and construction;
  • European grid codes (including RfG);
  • Standards governing high-voltage electrical installations;
  • Power system modelling principles and software (PowerFactory, PSCAD, PSS®E);
  • Microsoft Office tools.

Fluency in French and English is required.
Experience in solar or battery storage projects is a strong asset.

With strong organisational skills, you are able to manage priorities effectively and run several processes in parallel. You have excellent communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders. Dynamic and rigorous, you work autonomously while maintaining a strong team spirit.
