Job description

Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Operations Engineering, you will serve as the High Voltage Grid Connection Manager.

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Providing technical support to the Development teams for high-voltage grid connection applications;
  • Assessing and analyzing the feasibility of grid connection solutions, while optimizing the technical and economic proposals provided by network operators (costs, timelines, routing options);
  • Acting as the main interface with network operators (distribution, transmission, and telecommunications) by ensuring the proper preparation, negotiation, and implementation of grid connection projects;
  • Defining technical solutions and leading electrical studies, including protection systems, stability analyses, and installation sizing;
  • Serving as the technical lead for the procurement and construction of high-voltage substations within power plants, including technical specifications, engineering drawings, execution plans, construction supervision, and commissioning activities;
  • Working closely with the control and automation team to identify and propose optimal solutions for the operation and monitoring of high-voltage installations;
  • Ensuring consideration of high-voltage integration challenges associated with battery energy storage systems, including interlocking systems, protection coordination, and related requirements.

Candidate profile

You hold an Engineering degree or a Master’s degree (Bac+5 equivalent), ideally specializing in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering. You have at least five years of experience in engineering, including a minimum of three years in the high-voltage sector (MV/HV).

You are passionate about renewable energy and eager to contribute to the energy transition.

You have strong knowledge of:

  • Grid connection processes for power generation projects;
  • The functions and components of high-voltage substations and the stages required for their design and construction;
  • European grid codes, including the Requirements for Generators (RfG);
  • Standards and regulations governing high-voltage electrical installations;
  • Power system modeling principles and software such as PowerFactory, PSCAD, and PSS®E;
  • Microsoft Office tools;
  • Professional proficiency in both French and English.

Experience with solar energy or battery storage projects would be a significant advantage.

With strong organizational skills, you can effectively manage priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously. You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, enabling you to interact efficiently with both internal and external stakeholders. Dynamic and detail-oriented, you work autonomously while maintaining a strong team spirit.
