Regional Maintenance Manager – Solar PV Plants and Energy Storage
Job description
Reporting to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Director, you will oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the asset portfolio.
As the guarantor of the technical performance and availability of the infrastructure (solar PV power plants and battery energy storage systems), you will coordinate internal and external resources to maximize asset productivity while ensuring strict compliance with health and safety requirements.
The maintenance department operates throughout Corsica. The portfolio includes more than one hundred installations (PV plants, hybrid systems, and standalone BESS) representing over 50 MWp of solar capacity and 20 MWh of energy storage, including ground-mounted plants, agricultural buildings, carports, and rooftop installations.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Strategy, Development & Regional Coverage
- Define the deployment and intervention strategy to optimize technician responsiveness and travel times;
- Assess future staffing, equipment, and logistics requirements in line with portfolio growth;
- Identify, audit, and contract local partners to ensure comprehensive regional coverage.
Contract Management & Legal Support
- Draft and structure internal maintenance agreements (SLAs, availability guarantees, performance indicators);
- Negotiate subcontracting agreements and monitor the execution of outsourced services;
- Ensure rigorous follow-up of manufacturer warranties (inverters, batteries) and claims management processes.
Digitalization & IT Tools
- Administer and optimize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including system configuration, maintenance plans, and reporting;
- Oversee spare parts inventory management.
Operational Management & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with the Operations team to respond efficiently to maintenance requests;
- Collaborate with operations analysts to identify performance deviations and implement corrective actions;
- Diagnose complex failures and validate technical solutions;
- Coordinate field technicians and contractors while maintaining the highest QHSE standards;
- Analyze lessons learned and feedback to improve maintenance procedures and reduce recurring failures.
Candidate profile
You hold a Master’s degree (Engineering degree or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics, or Industrial Maintenance, and have at least five years of experience in a similar position, ideally within the renewable energy sector or a high-tech industrial environment.
Skills and expertise
Technical
- Strong expertise in low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) electrical systems, power electronics, and communication protocols.
Systems and tools
- Proven experience with SCADA systems and maintenance management software.
With a strategic mindset and strong contractual discipline, you possess excellent communication skills and are comfortable interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally (Operations teams) and externally (partners and service providers).
Languages
- Professional proficiency in English is essential, particularly for international technical and contractual matters.
Frequent travel to operating sites across Corsica is required.
