Installed on the rooftop of a building in Saint-Louis, on the island of La Réunion, the Le Gol solar power plant is a clear illustration of the local commitment to the energy transition.
With an installed capacity of 300 kWp and 670 photovoltaic panels deployed over an area of 1,822 m², the plant will generate approximately 500 MWh of electricity per year.
Located in Saint-Louis, the Le Gol rooftop project represents a new partnership model, in which Corsica Sole supports project owners in the delivery of their buildings, while also contributing to project financing and sharing its technical expertise.
A partnership serving the territory
The electricity generated by the rooftop installation will cover the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of 300 people, thereby helping to strengthen the energy autonomy of the territory of La Réunion.
The installation will also help avoid 330 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year, fully contributing to climate objectives and demonstrating that it is possible to combine innovation, energy performance and strong local roots.
An exemplary local collaboration
The Le Gol solar rooftop project is fully aligned with a dynamic of cooperation between local economic stakeholders and energy transition specialists. It highlights the ability of companies in La Réunion to integrate renewable energy into their real estate projects, while promoting innovative construction solutions tailored to island territories.
This project demonstrates that it is possible to combine the energy transition with local economic growth. By providing a concrete response to the ambitions of the Multiannual Energy Plan, it becomes a genuine lever for enhancing the value of the territory.
A commitment to biodiversity and the environment
Located at the heart of a territory rich in ecosystems, the Le Gol project was designed with full respect for the environmental specificities of La Réunion.
During the design and assessment phases, particular attention was paid to rainwater management and the use of durable materials suited to the tropical climate.
This approach also extends to the selection of low-carbon photovoltaic panels, helping to reduce the project’s environmental footprint. It reflects Corsica Sole’s determination to combine renewable energy production with environmental protection, by delivering sustainable solutions well integrated into their local surroundings.
A production site serving renewable energy
Beyond the generation of low-carbon electricity, the Le Gol rooftop installation helps to strengthen the energy resilience of La Réunion, create local economic value and support employment.
It embodies Corsica Sole’s commitment to combining innovation, sustainable development and territorial partnerships, in support of a more responsible energy future.
