Corsica Sole is spearheading the creation of the first professional association dedicated to energy storage.
Corsica Sole is proud to announce the creation of Stockage Énergie France, the first professional association dedicated to stationary battery storage in France.
Founded on the initiative of Corsica Sole and Eclipse, this new association brings together several major players in the sector, including Neoen, Amarenco, TagEnergy, Q ENERGY France, Kallista Energy, and Acacia.
Its goal is to represent the energy storage sector, support its development, and contribute to the establishment of a framework conducive to its deployment.

A Strategic Sector to Support the Energy Transition
The expansion of renewable energy and the growing electrification of end uses are increasing the need for solutions capable of maintaining the balance of the power grid.
Stationary battery storage addresses this challenge by providing flexibility to the power system. In particular, it makes it possible to:
- enhance security of supply,
- maintain a constant balance between electricity generation and consumption,
- make France’s electricity mix more agile,
- and contribute to grid stability.
In France, storage needs are expected to exceed 6 GW of capacity connected to the high-voltage grid by 2030, representing nearly 4 billion euros in private investment.
An association to represent the sector
Through Stockage Énergie France, the founding members aim to support the development of a rapidly growing sector and present a common vision to public authorities.
The association is organized around three priorities:
- securing recognition of energy storage as essential infrastructure for the electric power system
- promoting a stable regulatory framework tailored to the sector’s specific needs
- fostering the development of services that enable batteries to deliver their full value to the electric grid.
Corsica Sole’s Commitment
Since 2015, Corsica Sole has been developing and operating energy storage solutions in France and across Europe.
By helping to establish Stockage Énergie France, the company reaffirms its commitment to developing a high-performance, innovative French energy storage sector capable of providing long-term support for the energy transition.
