The ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant project in Lot-et-Garonne opens up to crowdfunding

News

Residents of Lot-et-Garonne and neighboring departments will soon have the opportunity to participate in financing the ground-mounted solar farm renewal project launched by Corsica Sole via the Enerfip crowdfunding platform.

A ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant to replace a former agricultural plot

Located about 20 kilometers south of Bergerac, in the commune of Saint-Quentin-du-Dropt, this ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant project, launched by Corsica Sole, consists of two parks with a total installed capacity of 6.25 MWp.

This facility will produce approximately 7,888 MWh per year, equivalent to 8% of the total consumption of the municipality of Agen.

The project is located in a place called “Le Béarnès,” on agricultural wasteland surrounded by orchards and cereal crops, among other things. The land will be preserved for agricultural use, enabling the two parks to produce local, environmentally friendly energy.

An investment open to local residents

To bring this project to fruition, a crowdfunding campaign is being organized via the Enerfip platform to raise €350,000.

This fundraising campaign is open to residents of the Lot-et-Garonne department, where the two parks that make up the photovoltaic power plant are located, as well as residents of the Dordogne, Gironde, Landes, Lot, Tarn-et-Garonne, and Gers departments.

The aim of this financing is to enable citizens to participate in the energy transition of their region by investing as little as €10 in this project. By participating, residents will benefit from the economic spin-offs generated by the power plant and the natural resource that is the sun.
