Visit to the Cirey-sur-Vezouze solar power plant: raising awareness and engaging with local residents
On Wednesday 1 October, the Cirey-sur-Vezouze solar power plant opened its doors to local residents for a special visit.
This event, organised at the request of the Community of Municipalities, was part of European Sustainable Development Day, an annual event that promotes local initiatives for a more responsible future across Europe.
An initiative to raise awareness and promote transparency
The aim of the visit was to answer residents’ questions and explain in concrete terms how the solar power plant works, its role in local renewable energy production and its positive impact on regional development.
Participants were able to discover the facilities, understand the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of such a project and discuss openly with the Corsica Sole team.

European Sustainable Development Day
Every year, European Sustainable Development Day highlights projects that promote a more sustainable society. It encourages local authorities, businesses and associations to share their actions in the fields of energy, the environment, education and solidarity.
The visit to Cirey-sur-Vezouze perfectly illustrates this ambition: to bring citizens closer to concrete energy transition solutions.
A constant commitment from Corsica Sole
At Corsica Sole, we believe that beyond energy production, our role is also to share, explain and raise awareness.
That is why we are increasing our educational activities for all audiences: residents, elected officials, students and schoolchildren. Each visit is an opportunity to create dialogue and highlight the benefits of renewable energy for the region
