Corsica Sole transforms brownfield sites into solar power plants thanks to SG

Press releases

Corsica Sole announces the financing of two new photovoltaic power plants. They will be installed on brownfield sites located in Pithiviers (Loiret) and Cirey-sur-Vezouze (Meurthe-et-Moselle). These projects are receiving financial support from Société Générale, a long-standing partner of the company.

Local, low-carbon production

The two power plants will have a total capacity of 18 MWp. They will produce more than 21 GWh of renewable electricity each year. This is equivalent to the annual consumption, including heating, of 12,000 people.

These facilities will therefore prevent the emission of 6,488 tonnes of CO₂ per year. They are scheduled to come online in the summer of 2025. Through these projects, Corsica Sole is making a concrete contribution to the energy transition.

A tailor-made financial structure

SG structured the financing in partnership with Monte Cristo Advisory, Corsica Sole’s financial advisor. Together, they developed a solution tailored to the challenges of this type of project.

This collaboration demonstrates that it is possible to combine financial innovation with low-carbon energy production.

We are proud to be working with trusted partners on this new financing operation. It will enable the conversion of industrial sites into local, low-carbon solar energy production units. These power plants illustrate our commitment to a more sustainable energy mix, benefiting local communities and French energy sovereignty
