Industry Week with Corsica Sole: at the heart of sustainable innovation
News
From 18 to 24 November, Corsica Sole opened its Corsican solar power plants (Alata, Giurone and Folelli) to more than 200 students during Industry Week. This event provided an opportunity to discover the essential role of renewable energies in the energy transition, while highlighting the promising careers in this sector.
A highlight at Folelli
The visit to our Folelli power plant was a highlight of the week, attended by:
Bruno Benazech, Academic Director
Michel Prosic, Prefect of Corsica
Corsica Sole is one of the jewels in the crown of industry in our region today. Corsica Sole is one of Europe’s leaders in green energy storage. The European leader. We come here for their expertise, we come here for their capacity for innovation, but Corsica Sole’s capacity for innovation lies with its employees. These are the people who have been recruited, and perhaps tomorrow it will be you who will put your know-how, your capacity for action and innovation at the service of the region’s development
During this visit, Corsica Sole had the honour of receiving a France 2030 plaque for its Alchymiste project, winner of the I-Nov competition. This innovative project uses surplus solar energy to produce green hydrogen, which will be used in particular to power the Lycée Maritime’s new ALBA ship.
Industry and ecology: a shared commitment
This initiative perfectly illustrates the spirit of Industry Week: demonstrating that industry, through innovation, can be a lever for job creation and concrete solutions for a sustainable future.
Thank you to the students for their curiosity, to the teachers for their support, and to the guests for their valuable presence.
